A Foggy Start The beauty of a different light It’s rare, but when I wake to a morning that’s encapsulated in a dense fog, it is always camera worthy. The morning I took these images in Victoria Park, Southport, as the sun was trying its best to come through, the fog was reflecting the light and produced a wonderful soft, warm glow. With a minimal colour palette, these photographs have a stark simplicity.
The Waterfront Hotel Stands on the lakeside in Southport and is in a prime position, with views over the north-west coast. The photo-shoot was to create a lifestyle gallery of imagery for the hotel’s website and marketing materials, plus a range of staff portraits. The beauty of the sunsets in Southport, do make me feel very lucky. The fact that I can leave my house and within minutes be viewing the vast horizon, still feels very special. The evening these photographs were taken, the sky was changing by the minute. From oranges, to pinks and purples, with a range of both subtle and vivid colours. It was spectacular and definitely a night to sit, appreciate and exhale.
