Dark Food

Predominately darker tones and low light. Dark food photography presents a wonderful subtlety of mood with enhanced colour contrast. This style of food photography applies the Chiaroscuro Technique. A term which refers to the contrast between light and shadow. An art technique which was superbly mastered by the likes of Vermeer and Caravaggio.
